Hello Baby!

On Sunday, July 4, 2010 first time mother, Ying Hua had twins at the Beijing Zoo. Unfortunately, the older of the twins did not survive.  However, the younger of the twins who was rejected by Ying Hua and immediately flown to Bifengxia is doing well.
The tiny cub was examined and found to be a female weighing just 109 grams. She will be hand reared in the Bifengxia nursery. Currently the staff is using the frozen colostrum from Ying Ying, the cub’s grandmother but the need for formula is immediate!

Join us in welcoming this little firecracker!
Pandas International has started a Baby Shower Fund
to help feed this little one and all the rest to follow this birthing season.
Please help us fill those baby bellies.
